Main Ingredients

Method

Brewing Process

1

Mashing

In a large pot, heat the water to about 70°C (158°F). Add the barley malt and corn, stirring to combine. Allow the mixture to sit for about 60 minutes to convert the starches into sugars.

2

Boiling

After mashing, bring the mixture to a boil. Add the hops and boil for 60 minutes. This step extracts the bitterness and aroma from the hops.

3

Cooling

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches about 20°C (68°F).

4

Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel. Add the yeast and seal it with an airlock. Allow it to ferment for about 1-2 weeks at a stable temperature.

5

Bottling

Once fermentation is complete, transfer the beer to clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Cap the bottles and store them in a cool place for carbonation for about another 1-2 weeks.

6

Enjoy

Chill the bottles in the refrigerator, pour into a glass, and enjoy your homemade Coors Light!
