Method
Burger Preparation
Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and let it drain on paper towels.
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Muenster cheese on top of each patty to melt.
Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet until golden brown.
Caramelized Onion Preparation
Truffle Aioli Preparation
Make the Aioli
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, truffle oil, minced garlic (use a garlic press or finely chop), and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.
Assembly
Assemble the Burger
Spread the truffle aioli on the bottom bun. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by two slices of bacon and a generous amount of caramelized onions. Top with the other half of the bun.
