Method

Prepare the Garlic Butter

1

Make the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Prepare the French Fries

2

Cut and Soak the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips. Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

3

Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain the potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels. Carefully add the potatoes to the hot oil in batches and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from the oil and place on paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with salt while hot.

Cook the Steak

4

Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling.

5

Grill the Steak

Preheat the grill to high heat. Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes.

Serve

6

Plate the Dish

Slice the rested steaks against the grain. Serve the grilled steak alongside a generous portion of French fries. Drizzle the garlic butter over the steak and fries before serving.
