Method

Taco Shells

1

Prepare the Shells

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. If using corn tortillas, lightly fry them for about 30 seconds on each side until soft and pliable. For crispy tacos, fry until they are golden and crispy.

Meat Filling

2

Cook the Meat

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

3

Season the Meat

Add taco seasoning and water to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and let it cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the mixture thickens, stirring occasionally.

Assemble Tacos

4

Fill the Tacos

Take a taco shell and fill it with the cooked meat mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños as desired.

5

Serve

Serve the tacos immediately while they are warm, with additional toppings on the side if desired.
