1

Prepare glass

Chill a highball or Collins glass by filling it with ice and set aside while you mix the cocktail (about 2–3 minutes).

2

Build and shake

Discard the ice from the glass. In a cocktail shaker add 1 cup of fresh ice, 2 oz Wheatley Vodka, 0.75 oz St. Germain, 1 oz fresh blood orange juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled.

3

Strain and top

Fill the chilled glass with fresh ice. Double-strain the shaken mixture into the glass to remove ice shards and pulp. Top with 3 oz chilled ginger beer, pouring gently to preserve carbonation. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to integrate.

4

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a blood orange wheel on the rim and an optional mint sprig tucked into the glass. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.

5

Notes

Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the simple syrup by 0.25 oz. Use freshly squeezed blood orange juice for best color and flavor; if blood oranges are out of season, a 1 oz mix of equal parts fresh orange and a splash of pomegranate can approximate the profile.
