Cocktail

Method

Cocktail

1

Prepare

Chill a coupe or martini glass by filling with ice and setting aside, or place it briefly in the freezer.

2

Combine

In a cocktail shaker, add Tito's Vodka (2 oz), St-Germain (0.75 oz), fresh lemon juice (0.75 oz), and lavender syrup (0.5 oz).

3

Ice & Shake

Add 6 ice cubes to the shaker, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. This both chills and dilutes to the correct balance.

4

Strain

Discard the ice from the chilled serving glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the glass using a Hawthorne strainer plus a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp from the lemon juice, yielding a clean, silky drink.

Garnish & Finish

5

Optional: If you prefer a slightly lighter, effervescent version, top with ~1 oz club soda poured gently down the side of the glass to preserve the drink's froth.

6

Garnish with a fresh lavender sprig laid across the rim (lightly clap the sprig between your palms to release aroma) or a lemon twist/lemon wheel perched on the rim. Serve immediately.

7

Enjoy: The Purple Rain should present floral notes from the St-Germain and lavender syrup, bright acidity from the lemon, and a clean vodka backbone.
