Ingredients for AC Light Lager

Method

Brewing Directions

1

Mashing

In a large brew kettle, heat 4 liters of water to 68°C (155°F). Add the pale malt and corn sugar, stirring to combine. Maintain this temperature for 60 minutes.

2

Boiling

After mashing, bring the mixture to a boil. Add Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes. Take off heat and cool the wort to 20°C (68°F).

3

Fermentation

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and pitch the Pilsner yeast. Seal with an airlock and allow to ferment for 1-2 weeks at a consistent temperature of around 20°C (68°F).

4

Bottling

After fermentation is complete, dissolve 0.75 cups of priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water. Add this to the fermented beer, then bottle the beer. Seal the bottles and let them carbonate at room temperature for another 1-2 weeks.

Enjoy!

Once carbonated, chill the bottles in the fridge and enjoy your homemade AC Light Lager!
