Sausages

Mashed Potatoes

Method

Sausages

1

Cook the Sausages

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.

Mashed Potatoes

2

Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until tender.

3

Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste and keep warm until serving.

Onion Gravy

4

Cook the Onions

In the same skillet used for the sausages, add sliced onions. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.

5

Make the Gravy

Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir for 1 minute. Gradually add the beef broth while stirring to avoid lumps. Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until thickened.
