Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare Burger Patty

1

Mix Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 3/4 inch thick.

Cook Burger Patties

3

Preheat Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned. Flip the patties and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

5

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.

Assemble Burger

6

Toast Buns

If desired, toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

7

Layer Toppings

On the bottom half of each bun, place a leaf of lettuce, followed by a slice of tomato, the cooked patty with melted cheese, pickles, and a drizzle of ketchup and mustard.

8

Complete Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
