Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

1

Mixing Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

2

Forming Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about ¾ inch thick.

3

Cooking the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

Preparing the Toppings

4

Preparing Lettuce and Tomato

Wash the lettuce leaves and set aside. Slice the tomato into thick rounds.

5

Preparing Mayonnaise

Spoon the mayonnaise into a small bowl and set aside for easy assembly.

Assembling the Burger

6

Toasting the Buns

Optional: Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

7

Building the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Place a cooked burger patty on top, followed by lettuce and a slice of tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
