The way they make 'em in New Orleans at the Sazerac Bar in the Roosevelt Hotel. 3 oz. Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, orange, Luxardo cherries muddled with a Demerara sugar cube and a dash each of Peychaud's & Angostura bitters.

Preparation
Muddle the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add 1 Demerara sugar cube and 2 dashes of Peychaud's bitters. Muddle the sugar and bitters together until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
Add Angostura Bitters
Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters to the mixing glass.
Add Ice and Stir
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into Glass
Strain the mixture into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube.
Garnish
Express the oils from a slice of orange over the drink and then drop it into the glass. Add 2 Luxardo cherries as a garnish.
