Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined.

2

Shape the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing.

Cook the Burger Patties

3

Heat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.

5

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Assemble the Burger

6

Prepare the Buns

While the cheese is melting, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

7

Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato (sliced), ketchup, and mustard.

8

Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately with your choice of side.
