Method

Prepare the Burger Patties

1

Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined but avoid overmixing.

2

Form Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Patties

3

Heat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

4

Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side.

5

Add Cheese

Flip the patties and place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the patties reach your desired doneness.

Prepare the Buns

6

Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, melt the butter in a separate pan over medium heat. Add the burger buns, cut side down, and toast until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger

7

Layer Ingredients

Start by placing the bottom half of the toasted bun on a plate. Add the cooked patty with cheese, followed by lettuce, tomato (sliced), pickles, and onion (sliced).

8

Add Condiments

Spread ketchup and mustard on the top half of the bun. Place it on top of the assembled burger.
