Method
Preparing Croutons
Make Croutons
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread into small cubes. In a bowl, mix the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated. Spread the croutons on a baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake Croutons
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Stir halfway through to ensure even browning. Remove from oven and let cool.
Making Caesar Dressing
Combine Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic until smooth and well combined.
Season Dressing
Add salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning based on your preference. Set the dressing aside.
Assembling Salad
Prepare Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Shake off excess water and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped lettuce in a large salad bowl.
Add Croutons and Dressing
Add the cooled croutons to the bowl with lettuce. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently until the lettuce and croutons are evenly coated.
Add Parmesan
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad. Toss lightly to combine.
