Wine Ingredients

Method

Wine Making Directions

1

Harvesting the Grapes

Select ripe Chenin Blanc grapes and harvest them carefully to avoid bruising.

2

Preparation

Destem and crush the grapes to extract the juice. Transfer the juice to a fermentation vessel.

3

Adding Sugar and Yeast

Add sugar to the grape juice to enhance sweetness. Sprinkle yeast over the juice and gently mix.

4

Fermentation

Seal the fermentation vessel and allow it to ferment at a controlled temperature for 4 to 6 weeks.

5

Monitoring Fermentation

Check the fermentation process regularly, ensuring the temperature remains stable and the fermentation is progressing.

6

Racking the Wine

Once fermentation is complete, siphon the wine off the sediment into a clean vessel.

7

Adding Potassium Metabisulfite

Add potassium metabisulfite to stabilize the wine and prevent spoilage.

8

Aging

Age the wine in oak barrels or stainless steel tanks for 6 to 12 months for optimal flavor development.

9

Bottling

Once aged, filter the wine and bottle it. Seal the bottles and label them.
