Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into evenly sized strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

2

Soak the Potatoes

Place the potato strips in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat them dry with paper towels.

3

Heat the Oil

In a deep pot or large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

4

Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry until they are golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

5

Season the Fries

Sprinkle the hot fries with salt while they are still warm.

6

Serve

Serve the crispy fries hot with ketchup on the side.
