Tea Preparation
Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
Steep Tea
Remove the saucepan from heat and add 4 black tea bags to the boiling water. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.
Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweeten (if desired)
If you prefer sweetened tea, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cup of honey while the tea is still warm, until fully dissolved.
Cooling and Serving
Cool the Tea
Allow the brewed tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.
Prepare Glasses
In a glass or pitcher, fill with 2 cups of ice cubes.
Pour Tea
Once the tea is chilled, pour it over the ice cubes in the glasses or pitcher.
Add Water (if needed)
Add 2 cups of cold water to dilute the tea to your preferred strength.
Garnish (optional)
Garnish with fresh lemon slices and mint leaves for added flavor.
