Method
Preparing the Meat
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 lb of chicken breast. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp of taco seasoning, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove from heat and shred the chicken.
Cook the Beef
In the same skillet, add 1 lb of beef flank steak. Season with 1 tbsp of taco seasoning, 1/2 tsp of salt, and 1/2 tsp of pepper. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
Cook the Pork
In a slow cooker, add 1 lb of pork shoulder and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of taco seasoning, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of pepper. Cook on low for 8 hours until tender. Shred the pork with two forks.
Assembling the Tacos
Heat the Tortillas
In a frying pan, heat 2 tbsp of cooking oil over medium heat. Add the corn tortillas one at a time, cooking for about 30 seconds on each side until warm and slightly crispy.
Fill the Tacos
On each tortilla, add a portion of your cooked meat (chicken, beef, or pork).
Add Toppings
Top the meat with chopped onion, chopped cilantro, a dollop of sour cream, and a spoonful of salsa. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
