Hummus Plate

Method

Hummus Plate Preparation

1

Prepare the Hummus

In a bowl, serve the hummus as the base of the plate. If using store-bought hummus, simply scoop it into the center of a serving dish. If making homemade hummus, blend chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil until smooth, then season with salt and paprika.

2

Slice the Vegetables

Wash the cucumber and tomato thoroughly. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and the tomato into wedges. Arrange them artistically around the hummus on the plate.

3

Grill the Pita

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Brush the pita bread with olive oil on both sides, then place it on the grill. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear and the pita is warm and slightly crispy. Remove from heat and cut into triangles.

4

Garnish and Serve

Drizzle a little olive oil over the hummus, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Finally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve the hummus plate with the grilled pita triangles and the sliced vegetables.
