Crust Preparation

1

Combine Ingredients

In a medium mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until the mixture resembles wet sand.

2

Press into Pan

Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Ensure it is evenly distributed.

3

Bake Crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the crust for about 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from oven and let it cool.

Filling Preparation

4

Mix Filling Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, and egg yolks until smooth and well combined.

5

Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the filling mixture into the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.

6

Bake Filling

Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes, or until the filling is set but still slightly jiggly in the center. Remove from oven and let cool to room temperature.

Topping Preparation

7

Whip Cream

In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.

8

Add Sugar and Lime Zest

Gradually add the powdered sugar and lime zest, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.

9

Top the Pie

Spread the whipped cream mixture over the cooled pie filling, creating an even layer. Optionally, you can garnish with extra lime zest.
