Preparation of Potatoes

Begin by thoroughly washing the potatoes to remove any dirt. Peel the potatoes and chop them into small pieces to facilitate easier cooking.

Cooking the Potatoes

Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot and add 3 liters of water. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to simmer. Cook until the potatoes are soft, approximately 30-40 minutes.

Mashing the Potatoes

Once the potatoes are cooked, drain the water and transfer the potatoes to a large bowl. Mash the potatoes until they are smooth, ensuring there are no lumps.

Fermentation Setup

Allow the mashed potatoes to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, add 10g of yeast and 200g of sugar to the mixture. Mix thoroughly to ensure the yeast and sugar are evenly distributed.

Fermentation Process

Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it sit in a warm place for about 5-7 days. Stir the mixture once daily to promote fermentation.

Distillation

After fermentation is complete, transfer the liquid to a distillation apparatus. Heat the mixture gently and collect the distilled liquid, which will be your vodka.

Filtration

To further purify the vodka, pass it through a filter containing activated charcoal. This step will help remove any impurities and improve the taste.

Bottling

Once filtered, pour the vodka into clean bottles. Seal the bottles tightly and store them in a cool, dark place.
