Cake Preparation

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3

Beat Eggs and Sugar

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

4

Combine Mixtures

Add the vanilla extract and milk to the egg mixture, mixing until combined. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until just combined.

5

Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

6

Combine Milks

In a bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, and your choice of flavoring (coconut milk, chocolate milk, strawberry puree, or ube extract).

7

Pour Mixture

Once the cake is baked and cooled, poke holes all over the top using a fork. Slowly pour the tres leches mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Topping Preparation

8

Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

9

Top the Cake

Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake. Decorate with fresh fruit or toasted coconut as desired.
