1

Prepare glass and mint

Select a highball or Collins glass and add 4–6 fresh mint leaves to the bottom. Gently clap the mint between your palms once to release aromatics, then add the leaves to the glass. Do not over-muddle; you only want a light release of oils.

2

Add spirits and citrus

Pour 2 oz Ketel One vodka, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup directly into the glass over the mint leaves.

3

Add ice and lightly stir

Add roughly 1 cup of cubed ice to fill the glass about three-quarters full. Using a bar spoon, gently stir the mixture 8–10 times to chill and integrate the ingredients while lifting the mint aroma through the drink.

4

Top with soda

Finish by topping with 1.5 oz cold club soda. Give one gentle stir to combine, taking care not to bruise the mint further.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim and a small sprig of mint tucked into the top of the drink. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.
