Method

Preparation of Fish

1

Clean the Fish

Rinse the whole pomfret fish under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.

2

Season the Fish

Rub the fish with olive oil, salt, and black pepper, making sure to coat the inside of the cavity as well.

3

Add Lemon and Herbs

Slice the lemon and stuff a few slices inside the cavity of the fish along with some fresh herbs.

Cooking the Fish

4

Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.

5

Grill the Fish

Place the fish on a grilling rack or a baking dish and grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the flesh is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

Preparing the Chopped Salad

6

Chop the Vegetables

Dice the cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, and bell pepper into small, uniform pieces.

7

Mix the Salad

In a bowl, combine the chopped vegetables with olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Toss well to combine.

Serving

8

Plate the Dish

Serve the grilled whole pomfret fish on a platter with the chopped salad garnish on the side.

9

Garnish

Add extra lemon wedges and fresh herbs on top of the fish for garnish if desired.
