Method

Sparkling Mineral Water

1

Chill bottle

Place a 12 oz bottle or a 750 ml bottle of San Pellegrino in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. For rapid chilling, submerge the sealed bottle in an ice-water bath for 20–30 minutes.

2

Prepare glass

Select a tall chilled glass (collins or highball) or a stemmed water glass. If desired, fill the glass with 4 ice cubes, leaving room for the water and garnish.

3

Pour water

Hold the bottle at the base and open carefully to preserve carbonation. Tilt the glass slightly and pour the chilled San Pellegrino slowly down the side to minimize foam and maintain effervescence. Pour the entire 12 oz into the prepared glass.

Optional Garnishes

4

Add citrus

If using a lemon or lime wedge, lightly squeeze the wedge over the surface of the water to release a small amount of juice, then drop the wedge into the glass or serve on the rim. Use one wedge per serving.

5

Add mint

Gently clap the mint sprig between your palms to release its aroma, then tuck it into the glass or rest it on the rim.

6

Serve

Serve immediately while the water is highly carbonated. Offer additional citrus wedges on the side for guests who want more flavor.
