Sauce (Optional)
Method
Preparation of Chicken Wings
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the flour mixture.
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C). Use a thermometer to ensure the oil is at the correct temperature.
Frying the Wings
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the coated chicken wings to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Drain the Wings
Use a slotted spoon to remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Preparing the Sauce
Make the Sauce (Optional)
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce, honey, and soy sauce. Stir until combined and heated through.
Toss the Wings in Sauce
In a large bowl, add the fried chicken wings and pour the sauce over them. Toss well to coat the wings evenly with the sauce.
