Mocktail Base

Method

Prepare the Mocktail Base

1

Build base

Measure 2 tablespoons Lyre's Aperitif into a mixing glass or small pitcher. Add 0.5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice and 0.5 tablespoon simple syrup.

2

Stir the mixture briskly for 10–15 seconds to combine and slightly chill if the mixing glass is cold. Taste and adjust sweetness with an additional 1/4 teaspoon simple syrup if the base tastes too bitter.

Assemble the Drink

3

Fill a highball or Collins glass with 1 cup cubed ice to chill the glass and keep the mocktail bright.

4

Pour the prepared mocktail base over the ice, allowing it to settle evenly.

5

Gently add 3 oz chilled sparkling lemonade down the side of the glass to preserve bubbles and create a layered effervescence.

6

Top with 1 oz chilled club soda to add a clean finish and extra fizz. Give the drink one gentle stir (3–4 rotations) to integrate without flattening the carbonation.

Garnish & Serve

7

Express an orange twist over the glass by holding the twist skin-side down and giving it a quick squeeze to release oils, then rub the rim with the peel and drop it into the drink or perch an orange wheel on the rim.

8

Optional: add a lemon twist for additional citrus aroma. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer.
