Method

Brewing Coffee

1

Prepare the Coffee Maker

Start by ensuring your coffee maker is clean and ready for use. If using a drip coffee maker, place a coffee filter in the basket.

2

Measure Coffee Beans

Measure 1 cup of Guatemalan dark roast coffee beans. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can add a little more coffee.

3

Grind the Coffee Beans

Grind the coffee beans to a medium-coarse consistency. Ensure the grind is not too fine, as this can lead to over-extraction and bitterness.

4

Add Coffee Grounds to Coffee Maker

Add the ground coffee to the prepared coffee filter in your coffee maker.

5

Measure and Add Water

Measure 4 cups of filtered water and pour it into the water reservoir of your coffee maker.

6

Brew the Coffee

Turn on your coffee maker and allow it to brew the coffee. This should take about 5-10 minutes depending on your machine.

7

Serve

Once the brewing process is complete, pour the coffee into mugs. If desired, add sugar and milk or cream to taste.
