Method

Brewing the Coffee

1

Prepare the Coffee Beans

Measure out 1 cup of medium roast coffee beans. If you prefer a stronger flavor, you can increase the amount of coffee beans to 1.5 cups.

2

Grind the Coffee

Using a coffee grinder, grind the coffee beans to a medium consistency. If you do not have a grinder, you can purchase pre-ground coffee.

3

Boil the Water

In a kettle or pot, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a near-boil. Do not let it boil fully, as this can scorch the coffee.

4

Brewing Process

In a coffee maker or French press, add the ground coffee and pour the hot water over it. Allow it to steep for 4-5 minutes.

5

Strain the Coffee

If using a French press, slowly press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee. If using a coffee maker, simply allow it to finish brewing.

6

Serve the Coffee

Pour the freshly brewed coffee into your favorite mug.

Adding Optional Ingredients

7

Sweeten Your Coffee

If desired, add 2 tablespoons of sugar to your mug of coffee and stir until dissolved.

8

Add Milk or Cream

Pour in 1 cup of milk or cream to your coffee for a creamier texture.

9

Flavor with Vanilla

For a vanilla twist, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and stir well.
