Hot Platters
Prepare the Cheese Curds
Start by patting the cheese curds dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help them fry better.
Prepare the Breading Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well to combine.
Coat the Cheese Curds
Dip each cheese curd first into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and finally back into the flour mixture to ensure a good coating.
Heat the Oil
In a large, deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Cheese Curds
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated cheese curds in batches. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve the Platter
Arrange the fried cheese curds on a serving platter. Serve immediately with a side of ranch dressing and gritty sauce for dipping.
