Method

Cooking Instructions

1

Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add squid ink spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the spaghetti.

2

Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add gulf shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

3

Add Chili Butter

Lower the heat and add the calabrian chili butter to the skillet with the shrimp. Stir until the butter is melted and combined with the shrimp.

4

Combine with Spaghetti

Add the drained squid ink spaghetti to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta with the shrimp and chili butter. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.

5

Finish and Serve

Stir in chopped green onions. Plate the spaghetti and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
