1

Prepare glass

Chill a coupe or old-fashioned glass by filling it with ice water while you build the drink. Set aside.

2

Combine ingredients

In a mixing glass add the blended Scotch (or rye), sweet vermouth, dry vermouth, orange curaçao, Angostura bitters, and orange bitters.

3

Add ice and stir

Fill the mixing glass with the large ice cubes. Stir with a bar spoon for 25–35 seconds (about 20–30 full strokes) until the mixture is well chilled and properly diluted (a slight frost should form on the outside of the mixing glass).

4

Prepare glass for serving

Dump the ice water out of the chilled serving glass and give it a quick wipe if needed so it isn't diluted.

5

Strain and garnish

Using a julep or Hawthorne strainer, double-strain the cocktail into the chilled glass. Express the lemon twist over the drink (squeeze the oils toward the surface), then run the peel around the rim and drop it into the glass as garnish.

6

Serve

Serve immediately. The International Whisky is balanced between whisky richness, vermouth sweetness, and a citrus/orange lift — sip slowly.
