Vodka Spirit

Method

Straight Vodka (neat or on the rocks)

1

Neat

Pour 2 oz of chilled vodka into a chilled spirit glass. Serve without ice. Garnish: none or a single lime wedge on the side if desired.

2

On the Rocks

Place 3–4 large ice cubes into an old-fashioned glass. Pour 2 oz vodka over the ice. Stir gently once with a bar spoon to slightly chill and dilute. Garnish with a lime wedge if desired.

Vodka Soda (simple low-calorie highball)

3

Fill a highball glass with 4–5 ice cubes. Add 2 oz vodka. Top with 2 oz (or to taste) club soda. Stir gently once to integrate. Squeeze a lime wedge over the drink and drop it in as garnish.

Screwdriver (vodka + orange juice)

4

Fill a highball glass with ice. Pour 2 oz vodka and 4 oz fresh orange juice over the ice. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with an orange wheel or twist if available.

Bloody Mary (classic savory cocktail)

5

Rim a tall glass with lemon and dip in salt (optional). Fill the glass with ice. In a shaker or mixing glass, combine 2 oz vodka, 4 oz tomato juice, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 3 dashes hot sauce, a pinch of salt and pepper and 0.25 oz simple syrup if you prefer a touch of sweetness. Stir or roll gently (do not shake vigorously). Pour into the prepared glass over ice. Garnish with celery stalk, lemon wedge, olives, or pickles as desired.

Notes & Serving Suggestions

6

Serve vodka chilled for the cleanest flavor. Use quality neutral vodka for sipping; for mixed drinks, balance the vodka with fresh juices or savory elements. Adjust mixer quantities to taste and increase dilution (more ice or stirring) for a smoother sip.
