Brownie Ingredients
Method
Brownie Directions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mix Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, brown sugar, and the melted butter. Stir until well combined.
Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring just until combined. Do not overmix.
Add Walnuts
Fold in the chopped walnuts gently into the brownie batter.
Bake the Brownies
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Cut
Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes. Then, cut into squares.
