Method
Lemonade Preparation
Juicing the Lemons
Roll the lemons on a countertop to release juice, then cut them in half and juice them into a measuring cup, discarding the seeds. You should have about 1 cup of lemon juice.
Making the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Mixing the Lemonade
In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, the simple syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of water. Stir well to combine.
Serving
Serve the lemonade over ice, and garnish with fresh mint if desired. Enjoy!
