Chicken Tenders

Method

Chicken Tenders

1

Prepare the Chicken

Cut the chicken breast into strips about 1 inch wide.

2

Set up the Breading Station

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In a second bowl, beat the egg. In a third bowl, add the panko breadcrumbs mixed with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

3

Bread the Chicken

Dip each chicken strip first in the flour, then in the egg, and finally in the panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each strip is well coated.

4

Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken strips and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

Fries

5

Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.

6

Soak the Fries

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry.

7

Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the fries in batches, frying for about 5-8 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
