Heat the Oil
In a large, deep pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Chips
Carefully add a handful of dried potato slices to the hot oil. Fry in batches for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

Melt the Cheese
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine Velveeta cheese and cream cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
Add Milk and Salsa
Gradually add milk to the cheese mixture, stirring continuously until smooth. Mix in the salsa. Heat until warm and well combined.
Assembly
Prepare Toppings
Chop the cooked bacon into small pieces. Slice the jalapeños and chop the green onions.
