Method

Cook the Steak

1

Sear the Steak

Season the bistro steaks with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or longer to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest.

Prepare the Fries

2

Fry the Potatoes

Cut the russet potatoes into thick fries. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt to taste.

Cook the Green Beans

3

Sauté the Green Beans

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the green beans and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender, seasoning with salt to taste.

Make Blue Cheese Butter

4

Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix softened unsalted butter, crumbled blue cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper until well combined. Serve on top of the cooked steak.
