1

Build and chill

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice (about 3/4 to 1 cup).

2

Add spirits and mixers

Pour 2 tablespoons sloe gin and 1 tablespoon dry gin into the shaker. Add 3 tablespoons pineapple juice, 1/2 tablespoon grenadine, and 1/2 tablespoon fresh lime juice. If your pineapple juice is very tart, add 1/2 teaspoon simple syrup to balance sweetness.

3

Shake

Cap the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels cold and slightly frosty.

4

Prepare glass

Fill a chilled coupe, small rocks glass, or Collins glass with fresh ice (or leave neat if serving up).

5

Strain

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using a cocktail strainer (and a fine mesh if you used fresh juice or want a cleaner pour). The grenadine will give a warm reddish hue; if you prefer a layered effect, pour grenadine slowly down the side after pouring the shaken mix.

6

Garnish & finish

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and/or maraschino cherry and optionally an orange or lemon twist. Serve immediately.

7

Notes

Adjust sloe gin:gins ratio to taste — sloe gin provides the fruity, jammy backbone while a splash of dry gin adds botanical lift. Use quality pineapple juice (fresh if possible) for best flavor.
