Eggnog French Toast

Pear Compote

Whipped Mascarpone

Method

Eggnog French Toast

1

Prepare the Egg Mixture

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.

2

Soak the Bread

Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides. Allow the bread to soak for a few seconds to absorb the mixture.

3

Cook the French Toast

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once hot, add the soaked bread slices to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

4

Serve

Serve the French toast warm with maple syrup drizzled on top.

Pear Compote

5

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine the diced pears, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and water.

6

Cook the Compote

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the pears are soft and the mixture has thickened.

7

Cool and Serve

Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature over the French toast.

Whipped Mascarpone

8

Whip the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

9

Beat Until Soft Peaks Form

Using an electric mixer, whip the mixture until soft peaks form, about 2-3 minutes.

10

Serve

Serve the whipped mascarpone alongside the French toast and pear compote.
