Preparation

Prepare the Glass

Chill a rocks glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.

Combine Ingredients

In a shaker, combine 2 oz of mezcal, 1 oz of Mr. Black coffee liqueur, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 1 tsp of demerara sugar.

Add Bitters

Add 2 dashes each of orange bitters and chocolate bitters to the shaker.

Mixing

Shake the Mixture

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

Strain and Serve

Empty the ice water from the chilled rocks glass. Strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.

Garnish

Express the oils from an orange twist over the drink and drop it into the glass as a garnish.
