Method

Preparation of Fried Cauliflower

1

Prepare Cauliflower

Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it into bite-sized florets.

2

Make Tempura Batter

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, tahini, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add cold water until you reach a smooth batter consistency.

3

Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

4

Dip and Fry

Dip each cauliflower floret into the tempura batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place in the hot oil and fry in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preparation of Harissa Sauce

5

Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine harissa paste, Greek yogurt, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth and set aside.

Garnishing

6

Cook Bacon

In a skillet, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel to drain.

7

Chop Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley.

8

Assemble the Dish

On a plate, arrange the fried cauliflower, drizzle with harissa sauce, and add crumbled crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, chopped parsley, house pickles, and a generous dollop of burger sauce.
