Mix cayenne pepper and salt on a small plate. Moisten the rim of a margarita glass with a lime wedge, then dip it into the cayenne-salt mixture to coat the rim.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the Jose Cuervo tequila, fresh pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, and ginger syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
