Guinness Draught

Swirling clouds tumble as the storm begins to calm. Settle. Breathe in the moment, then break through the smooth, light head to the bittersweet reward. Unmistakeably GUINNESS, from the first velvet sip to the last, lingering drop. And every deep-dark satisfying mouthful in between. Pure beauty. Pure GUINNESS.

Coffee Base

Method

Coffee Base

1

Brew 1 cup of strong coffee. For best flavor use a freshly pulled espresso shot or a dark-roast drip brewed slightly stronger than usual. Keep it hot (around 75–85°C / 170–185°F).

2

If the coffee is too strong or too hot for your preference, add up to 2 tablespoons hot water to adjust strength and temperature.

Liqueur & Sweetener

3

Place 1.5 tablespoons Frangelico into a warmed heatproof glass or mug.

4

If you prefer your drink sweetened, add 1 teaspoon brown sugar or simple syrup to the liqueur. Stir briefly to dissolve and slightly warm the sugar with the liqueur.

5

Pour the hot brewed coffee over the Frangelico (and sugar if used). Stir gently for about 10–15 seconds to combine flavors and dissolve any remaining sugar.

Cream & Garnish

6

Lightly whip the cream just until it holds soft peaks, or simply use chilled half-and-half. Spoon or gently float 2 tablespoons of cream on top of the coffee so it forms a creamy layer.

7

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon grated dark chocolate or a dusting of cocoa powder over the cream for aroma and visual appeal.

8

If using, scatter 1 teaspoon toasted chopped hazelnuts on top for crunch and to reinforce the hazelnut flavor.

9

Serve immediately while hot. Stir before drinking if you prefer a uniform beverage, or sip through the cream layer to enjoy contrasting textures.
