Preparation

1

Prepare the Fruits

Rinse the fresh cranberries under cold water and set them aside. Cut the lemon in half and juice one half, reserving the other half for garnish. Remove pomegranate seeds from the pomegranate.

2

Combine the Ingredients

In a large pitcher, combine the rinsed cranberries, pomegranate seeds, lemon juice, and cinnamon sticks.

3

Add the Wine

Pour the Riesling wine into the pitcher with the fruit mixture. Stir gently to combine.

4

Sweeten the Sangria

Add the simple syrup to the mixture. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more simple syrup or additional lemon juice.

5

Chill

Refrigerate the sangria for at least 2 hours, or up to 24 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.

Serving

6

Serve the Sangria

Before serving, add the club soda to the pitcher and stir gently. Serve the sangria over ice in glasses, garnished with the remaining lemon half and a few additional cranberries and pomegranate seeds.
