Preparation Steps
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.
Season the Sprouts
In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until well coated.
Roast the Brussels Sprouts
Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside, flipping halfway through.
Add Parmesan (Optional)
If desired, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
Serve
Remove from the oven and serve hot as a side dish.
