Preparation

1

Prepare Strawberry Puree

In a blender, combine fresh strawberries and blend until smooth to create strawberry puree. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if necessary to remove seeds.

2

Muddle Basil

In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle the fresh basil leaves to release their aromatic oils. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon.

Mixing

3

Combine Ingredients

Add 2 oz of El Jimador Silver Tequila, 1 oz of strawberry puree, and 0.5 oz of elderflower liqueur to the shaker with the muddled basil.

4

Shake

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Serving

5

Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. Optionally, you can rim the glass with sugar for added sweetness.

6

Garnish

Garnish the drink with a fresh strawberry on the rim and a sprig of basil for an aromatic finish.
