Preparation
Prepare the Flour
In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of all-purpose flour. To ensure the dough is safe to eat, it is recommended to heat-treat the flour first. You can do this by spreading the flour on a baking sheet and baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
Cream the Butter and Sugars
In another large bowl, cream together 1 cup of unsalted butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and 1 cup of brown sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Combine Dry Ingredients
Incorporate the heat-treated flour and 1 teaspoon of salt into the wet mixture. Mix on low speed until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
Mix-Ins
Add Mix-Ins
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chunks, 1 cup of Reese's Pieces, and 1 cup of rainbow sprinkles using a spatula until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Serving
Chill and Serve
If desired, chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm it up. Serve immediately as a treat or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
