Shrimp Preparation

Prepare the Shrimp

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the eggs. In a third bowl, place the panko breadcrumbs.

Coat the Shrimp

Dip each shrimp first in the flour mixture, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs. Set aside.

Yuzu Aioli Preparation

Make the Aioli

In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, yuzu juice, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Frying

Heat Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

Fry the Shrimp

Carefully add the coated shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serving

Plate the Dish

Arrange the crispy shrimp on a serving platter. Drizzle with yuzu aioli and garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced jalapeño.
