Method
Preparing the Salad Base
Wash and Chop Lettuce
Thoroughly wash the romaine and iceberg lettuce under cold water. Once cleaned, tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Adding Vegetables
Prepare Cherry Tomatoes
Rinse the cherry tomatoes under cold water. If desired, you can slice them in half for easier eating. Add them to the bowl with the lettuce.
Slice Cucumber
Peel the cucumber if you prefer, then slice it into thin rounds. Add the cucumber slices to the mixing bowl.
Chop Green Bell Pepper
Remove the seeds and stem from the green bell pepper, then chop it into small pieces. Add these to the salad bowl.
Slice Red Onion
Peel and thinly slice the red onion. Add the slices to the salad bowl for a touch of color and flavor.
Making the Dressing
Mix Dressing Ingredients
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Whisk together until well combined.
Dress the Salad
Drizzle the dressing over the salad mixture in the large bowl. Toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly, ensuring the lettuce and vegetables are well coated with the dressing.
